Challenge:
Ofgem was required deliver a strategy in response the Government's wider shared services agenda

What we did:
- Developed the Corporate Functions Shared Services strategy
- Designed the Target Operating Model and recommended sharing services between 3 smaller government departments to leverage scale between them
- Focused on governance model options for the new operating model
- Indicated high level business case (net benefit of £24M over 5 years)

Challenge:
Smiths wanted to get benefits from becoming better at managing services in their fragmented organisation after a recent re-organisation.

What we did:
- Designed the new Target Operating Model, developed processes and the associated RACIs for IT and Operational functions (HR, Commercial, Finance and Compliance)
- Provided expertise to Service managers to ensure they operated effectively in new roles.
- Managed the programme of 8 workstreams (20+ resources globally)

Challenge:
The Cabinet Office needed to deliver their Shared Services programme and their desktop transformation (Flex) covering 30 business units (>1400 staff).

What we did:
- Led an innovative business change workstream (integrated training, communications and stakeholder management) and achieved >95% attendance for training programmes (over 300 sessions held) when attendance were usually <30%

Challenge:
Aviva Investors CTO wanted to launch a Global Service Catalogue in a highly fragmented and strategically non-aligned organisation which was run in silos

What we did:
- Created a vision and set out strategy to deliver an end-to-end service catalogue
- Highlighted service, performance and quality gaps
- Led design/delivery of requestable services catalogue / workflow tool
- Successfully launched Global Service Catalogue

Challenge:
GSK has an excellent talent pipeline but a perceived lack of leadership diversity.

What we did:
- Launched the UK WLI (Women’s Leadership Initiative) to build capabilities, develop people and connect through networking
- Have grown membership to 450+ members in 1 year
- Set up a mentoring scheme (matched ~40 people so far)
- Set up partnership with a charity ‘Dress for Success’ (have dressed 150+ women)
- Held 4 events to build skills and for networking

Challenge:
Client required a full review of a potential 5 year IT services outsourcing deal

What we did:
- Ensured deal was fit for purpose by reviewing completeness, competiveness, flexibility, risk and scope of the Agreement and schedules that outsourcer had prepared.
- Recommended major re-work and review of T&Cs, deal signed following this.
